I absolutely pledge I will do everything necessary to STOP the spending spree that has decimated our Social Security trust fund.  We have moral and fiscal obligations to our own citizens that are getting passed over because of our wasteful spending. I believe that our senior citizens should get their full benefit from Social Security. They've earned that, they've been promised that, and they are owed that and that includes yearly cost-of-living increases.  I will fight to set priorities that will allow the cost-of-living increases to be restored as soon as possible, hopefully in the next fiscal year.
