The National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC) is out with a new television ad that highlights Mike McIntyre’s voting record with Nancy Pelosi, his vote for her failed ‘stimulus’ program, and his ties to her special-interest friends.

Washington- The National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC) announced today that 18 new Republican candidates have reached ‘Young Gun’ status, the highest level of its three-tiered Young Guns program. With less than 50 days until the election, these new Young Guns are ready to turn the page on the out-of-touch Democrat majority’s failed economic agenda.

Washington- The National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC) has officially announced that Marine Corps veteran, author and Deputy Sheriff Ilario Pantano (NC-07) has reached ‘Contender’ status as part of its Young Guns program. ‘Contender’ status is the second step in the three-level program. Pantano now faces a new set of benchmarks to reach ‘Young Gun’ status in his bid to represent North Carolina’s Seventh Congressional District. After winning the GOP primary, Pantano is set to challenge Democrat incumbent Mike McIntyre in the general election.

North Carolina voters turned out tonight to send a message to Washington: It’s time to put an end to the Obama-Pelosi agenda of reckless tax-and-spend policies. Last week we had a series of very positive meetings with members of the House from across the country and all of the congressional Republicans from the state of North Carolina: Eric Cantor (Minority Whip, VA-R), Sue Myrick (NC-R), Howard Coble (NC-R),Walter Jones (NC-R), Virginia Foxx (NC-R), Patrick McHenry (NC-R). The culmination was a meeting with National Republican Congressional Committee Chairman (NRCC), Pete Sessions (TX-R).   NRCC support was offered and we were enrolled in the “Young Guns” program started by Eric Cantor.
