Pantano Outraises Rouzer By More Than 40K    

Pantano has Out-raised Rouzer for the First Quarter and the Entire 2012 Election Cycle, Proving that Pantano is the Only Candidate in Race who can Defeat McIntyre in November

Wilmington, NC: Campaign finance reports for  the first quarter of 2012 which were filed with the Federal Election Commission yesterday show Conservative Republican Congressional Candidate Ilario Pantano outraising State Senator and Lobbyist David Rouzer by more than $40,000.

Pantano, author, businessman, Iraq War Veteran and 2010 GOP nominee, raised over $129,000 in contributions while Rouzer raised only a little over $83,000 in contributions from donors other than himself.  While Pantano had his best fundraising quarter of 2012, Rouzer’s fundraising has dramatically decreased every quarter since he entered the race.  Pantano has also now out-raised Rouzer for the entire 2012 election cycle.

 “Despite the $45,000 dollars in special interest PAC money that has been given to Lobbyist and career politican David Rouzer, the Pantano campaign has continued to surge and has outraised Senator Rouzer for this quarter as well as overall,” Pantano consultant Andy Yates said.  “Pantano’s fundraising advantage and the marked decline in Rouzer’s fundraising show that Pantano is the candidate for the 7^th Congressional District who will be able to raise the funds necessary to defeat Congressman McIntyre in the fall. It is now clear that if Republicans want to win the 7^th Congressional District in November they have one choice: Ilario Pantano.”

“These fundraising numbers combined with recent independent polling which shows Pantano leading Rouzer by a margin of more than 2 to 1 make it clear that all of the momentum in this race is on Pantano’s side,” Yates concluded.  “As voters and donors across the 7^th District are learning more and more about both candidates it is becoming clear to them that there is only one choice in this race if you want a Conservative Congressman and if you want to win in November. That choice is Ilario Pantano”
