Palin calls Pantano a “Dedicated Patriot” who will “Bring Common Sense Back To Washington”

Wilmington, NC:  Governor Sarah Palin announced today that she is endorsing Ilario Pantano, Republican nominee for North Carolina’s 7th Congressional District.

“Ilario Pantano is another dedicated patriot running for Congress this year,” Goveror Palin said upon endorsing Pantano. “Ilario first swore an oath to defend the Constitution as a 17-year-old Marine.  Today, he needs your help to bring common sense back to Washington.  The Republicans have carried this congressional district in the last three presidential elections (including ’08), but the current representative votes with Pelosi and the Democrats 90% of the time.  We can win this seat and send a decorated Marine to Congress who will be a strong voice for veterans and active-duty military.”

Since serving as the Republican nominee for Vice President in 2008 Governor Palin has become one of the foremost leaders of the Conservative movement and the Republican Party.  Palin has taken a very active role in this year’s elections endorsing candidates across the country who share her commitment to Conservative values and her dedication to taking our country back.  Her endorsement has become one of the most sought after endorsements of this election season, and candidates endorsed by Palin have experienced great electoral success.

“I am thrilled to have the endorsement of one of the leaders of the Conservative movement in America,” Pantano said after learning of her endorsement.  “I have tremendous respect for Governor Palin, the hard work she did as Governor of Alaska, and all she has done to try to get our nation back on the right track towards a brighter future.  Governor Palin and I share a strong faith in God and in our great nation as well as a strong passion for the Conservative principles and values that will ensure that our nation’s best days are ahead of us.“

“Governor Palin has a record of making history,” Pantano concluded. She was the first women elected Governor of the State of Alaska and the first women to run on the Republican Party’s presidential ticket. I am glad that she is on my side as I make history as the first Republican to represent North Carolina’s 7th Congressional District in 140 years.”
